Story behind Crescent Vert
Naturally occurring gemstones are known for their rareness and significant cost, which inspired Kyocera to come up with a way to manufacture affordable jewels of high quality. Many natural gemstones have colors in low quality and have many flaws or internal impurities, and in order to hide those imperfections, they are often artificially processed. Can such jewels truly provide true enrichment? This was the question we had and the reason why we were determined to \"reproduce\" jewels with pure and beautiful colors by using state-of-the-art technology. We hope to provide the true joy of wearing beautiful jewels once again.
Across the world many people have tried to scientifically create jewels. However, their aims were always to imitate nature or to make artificial jewels, thus most people do not hold such a good image of these types of products. Instead of mediocre “look-alike jewels,” Kyocera decided to create real jewels possessing truly beautiful colors. The development of jewels was very difficult, but through our strict determination we never compromised. Although Kyocera is famous for crystal technology and ceramics, recrystallizing jewels required a totally different process and effort.

Definition of Crescent Vert
“Crescent Vert” is the name given to jewels produced using Kyocera’s proprietary technology which possess the same crystal grain structure as naturally occurring gemstones. The name is used for the company's recrystallized jewels and synthetic opals.
